Members of the IN.TUNE Alliance at the University of Music Bucharest met on Monday, July 8, to mark the six-month anniversary of the launch of the IN.TUNE Alliance. The meeting was a substantive one, with the topics discussed being extremely important for what the IN.TUNE Alliance means and especially what it will mean in the future.
During the meeting moderated by the Institutional Alliance Manager, Angela Șindeli, the projects developed by each person in charge and the evolution of each Work Package within the IN.TUNE Alliance were discussed. Each coordinator presented the evolution of their own Work Package and bridges were identified to make essential links in the 8 Work Packages.
So far, the IN.TUNE project has laid the foundations, identified the sources of funding, but also the needs for the future.
During the debate, optimal ways of internal and external communication were discussed. All members focused on identifying optimal ways to ensure effective and easy communication.
The discussions also focused on how to make IN.TUNE Alliance known to interested students and teachers. It was agreed that the next step for the IN.TUNE Alliance is to attract students interested in the project and the unique perspectives it offers.
Unity in diversity
During the 6 months of the IN.TUNE Alliance project, the members of the 8 participating universities got to know each other and deepened their collaborative relationships. Despite the different legislation in each country, all IN.TUNE Alliance members agreed that “music is a universal language” and can overcome any linguistic or legislative barriers.
During the debates, the Rector of the National University of Music in Bucharest, Prof. Diana Moș, took the floor and explained that the IN.TUNE Alliance’s mission is to promote a high-performance model of music education through which students can progress. Prof. Diana Moș also thanked all the IN.TUNE Alliance members for their commitment and dedication, but also gave a message for the future of this project that the next 4 years, with the objectives and the way the IN.TUNE Alliance has been conceived, will have a major impact on music education across Europe.
The next meeting of the IN.TUNE Alliance members from the University of Music Bucharest will take place at the end of September, just before the start of the new academic year.
